Urban challenge
The Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency of the US Defence Department has been organizing the Grand Challenge since 2004 where driverless cars cover a course in a stipulated time. The 2007 Grand Challenge was held in an urban setup and won by Tartan Racing's Chevrolet Tahoe named 'Boss' developed jointly by GM and Carnegie Mellon University.
